Our mission

Assisting Alabama youth
who are aging out or at risk
to transition into sustainable
and connected independence.

Our vision

A safe, stress-free,
supported, and successful
transition into adulthood,
for every Alabama youth.

Without help…

%
will immediately become homeless
after leaving foster care
%
will be homeless after 2 years
after aging out
%
will have been
incarcerated
<%
Will graduate
college

When Second Shift intervenes in these outcomes,
we can prevent homelessness, unemployment,
incarceration, human and sex trafficking,
and the repeated generational cycle of foster care.
