Need Guidance to Get Started? Let Us Help!

Step 1: Get Inspired

Need Inspiration?

If you’re unsure where to start, ask yourself:
– What does connection mean to me?
– How does resilience shape our community?
– How can I visually express empowerment and support?

Most importantly — have fun, get creative, and know that your contribution is making an impact!

Step 2: Reflect on the Themes of Connection

Your artwork should embody at least one of the following themes:
Connection – The power of relationships and belonging.
Resilience – Overcoming adversity and growing stronger.
Empowerment – Strength, independence, and self-worth.
Support – The community standing together for foster youth.

Consider abstract or symbolic representations —a bridge for connection, intertwined hands for support, roots growing deep for resilience, or a rising sun for empowerment.

Step 3: Use the Required Materials

Your kit includes:
12×12” Canvas – Your base for creativity.
Acrylic Paints – Use these as your primary medium.
Trash Bags – Symbolic of the experience many foster youth face, these can be creatively incorporated into your design.

You may include additional materials, such as markers, fabric, collage elements, or texture, but the canvas, paints, and trash bags must be used.

Step 4: Follow Your Color Scheme

Each kit includes a designated color palette to guide your creation. You may add materials and textures, but your artwork must align with your assigned color scheme to maintain visual cohesion across all submissions.

Step 5 (OPTIONAL): Represent Your Organization

You may incorporate your company, group, or organization’s name, logo, or branding as part of your design, but ensure it complements the project’s themes.

Step 6: Share Your Progress

We’d love to see your work in progress! Share your photos on social media using the hashtags below and be sure to tag us!
